I have a 2000 S-type 3.0 and was rear ended last Sept. and needed a new trunk lid. When I open the trunk via the remote the trunk doesn't fully open (can't remember if it did before or not). Is there any kind of adjustment to correct this?

 

old bulletin.. was for adjusting.. the trunk spring.. have to be strong to do it.. ..check 1st..remove plastic screw.. on right side.. and check to see if the spring is set to the farthest away.. there is only 2 settings.. if thats ok then check latch.. may be mushroomed..
