Default TSB access

I can't seem to access this TSB you posted on front tire inner wear. If it is still a good web address, can you suggest another way to get it (also interested in the one for brake pad replacement).

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...3&d=1252684772

Thanks.

Richard, attachments to the server, including documents and images (not links to outside web hosting sites) cannot be accessed by new members with less than 3 days on their membership and less than 10 posts. Its all explained in the New Member sticky here.

Okay, thanks. I saw the sticky but was hoping for a faster activation than 10 posts since I am in a discussion with the service folks about these subjects now.

I see, since you need it in a pinch, I pulled the pdf off of the forum server and hosted it on my personal space. You should have no problem getting it now.

You are welcome Richard. Remember to get your post count above 10 to get full access when you've taken care of your alignment. Plenty of threads to participate in. Good luck.

Sarge...
I have the certified used car warranty - 6yrs/100,000 miles. Both of mine cratered
early this year and they were replaced under warranty. Dealer said they cost $1,000
each. They actually replace the entire headlight assembly.

Thumbs up

Excellent listing of TSB's ...... Well done for all the hard work and dedication

Having quickly scanned through them, is there one regarding the test procedures for the transmission rotary switch on an XK8 (MY 1998.75) ?

Many thanks

Hi Sarge,

Instead of laying out $3000 to replace the self-leveling mechanisms on my 2006 S-type, I opened the bonnet, took the front cover off and revealed the headlights.

You will see adjusting screws for up/down and left/right.

Adjust the headlamps as if it were a 2000 Ford, ie, park in front of a wall at night and raise the lights.

Very few of us need headlamps that adjust to every bump in the road.

Its actually not the self levelers that usually go. Its the housing that holds them breaks and they point at the ground. Here is a link to a video on what to do. I bet if you do that your headlights would most likely level again.

I discovered that some of the bad links have "&" in the string. if one changes that part to "&" the links seem to work.

hope this helps,

Ok I'm a bit confused here. Since this is my first Jag am I correct in that the dealer will not do the TSB's for free?

Other cars I've had they were free at the dealer.
