Default Turbo woes

I wonder if anyone could perhaps shine some light on this problem. Jaguar s-type 2.7D 2005. I am having turbos replaced due to restricted performance. I have had two left side units in the car in succession, both of which have given error codes (sorry I don't have codes). I photographed the plate on the right side turbo, but unsurprisingly in this disaster scanario the left hand turbo plate was not legible at all. Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone could hazard a guess of the serial numbers for the left one based on this information? This is the right side tag: DPQRA 4R8Q 6K682 AL 726423-13 s/n 00154.
The mechanics are saying the turbo is alright but the actuators are not Jaguar, but my receipt clearly states 726422 JAGUAR. They have taken this latest reconditioned Garrett turbo off the car and I'm picking it up in the morning. Might be able to provide more information then.
Incidentally we approached Jaguar for a new part and were told it is only available on back order. No stock. Can't bear to lose my car because I can't find the right turbo. Oh and the garage called out an auto-electrician to confirm that the actuator was receiving a signal!

You say you've had the left replaced but want the new one's serial no? I don't see how anyone except whoever replaced it could know.

I know it's not an easy question. Maybe someone who has a lot of experience with turbos will have a jag? The turbo I need to replace had an illegible id plate..all the lettering seemed to be corroded maybe due to local heating/gasses whatever. The one I photographed was the right side which I managed to replace without a problem.

Sorry this must be the most boring post ever!! The Garrett factory reconditioned unit which I picked up this morning has a code ending with .... -BK. I suspect then, that what I need is a turbo with code ending with a ...-BL to match the other fully working right side turbo which is an AL. Perhaps they are not interchangeable?

You may want to also post your enquiry in the UK/Eire section as well as most members on this forum are from North America. Jaguar never offered a diesel variant of the X200 in North America.
