Default Unlocking doors problem

For some reason, this black unlocking knob is unable to unlock the car for me. I have to use passenger door's one to unlock the car when I want to exit. But the one on the drivers side does work and move etc. Anybody know a solution? It does work sometimes but most of the times not.

And while I have someone reading this post; I recently got code p1388 and 1383 just after an oil change. I took the recommended viscosity, which is 5w - 30. I have read some posts about this on this page that changing the viscosity might help a little and that it's very common codes. Is there a way to do this without an entire oil change AGAIN? Like adding something to increase the viscosity? Do I go up or down on the viscosity btw? Thicker or thinner?

There is a TSB but they are usually VIN specific.
No idea if this will help.

Woops. 3.0 2001 V6.

And I found that file but seems very unlikely that the computer suddenly after an oil change would mess up the numbers? Or is it just me
