Hi Guys,

There are two conditions happening and i don't know if they are related...

condition 1: after driving for a while, it gets hot inside. noticeablly, the electrical switches are releasing a little bit of heat but the j-gate area is much hotter. sitting inside can easily get me to sweat with window closed when the outside is about 22℃。 just having a electrical heater around me.

condition 2: the fuel consumption is absurdly high. 13L/100KM on highway and 20+ in town.

please suggest if the two conditions could be related and what could be the cause?

Oh yes it is a 2006 s-type 3.0 petrol.

 

Have you got access to an obd2 scanner?

 

I can't think of a direct relationship, but is the HVAC not working?
