Default update no tickover

hi all
new to the forum thing. just finished the breather pipes and o rings problem. followed the very easy how to thread from you guys and found the elbow had collapsed with a hole on the underside.only problem i had on the rebuild was i managed to snap the small water pipe outlet off on the top hose set up .i managed to slip a lenth of copper brake pipe in the outlet to reinforce the joint then glued it. alls well tickover has never been so smooth result.
will the fault codes disappear on there own or will i have to have them removed.
i think i will buy a code reader but there seems to be problems with the units reading the early s types .open to recommendations
s type 3.0 year 2000 95000 miles
cheers dave

Yes the codes will slowly disappear over time and with on/off cycles of the car.

I recommend getting the codes cleared so you know if any show back up they are new. In the US any auto-parts store will read your codes for free and if you ask they will clear all the old ones.

Don't know how it works in the UK?

Congrats Dave!

As Norri put it, glad we could help. But I have to ask, please explain a "tick over", I do not understand that.

If fixed, MIL should go off after 3 warmups. Code will be deleted after a lot more (40 I think).

I found the (cloned) elm327 worked but some have said the clones sometimes don't. Fairly cheap place who seem only to sell working ones - Gendan.
