Urgent Sunroof/Moonroof Help Needed!!!!!!!!
Yesterday was a beautiful day, clear skies, nice weather, so I opened my sunroof/moonroof like usual.
While driving home I decided to close it, but while driving, still heard air coming into the car!
Once I parked at home, i saw that the roof closes, but a small portion in the rear of the sunroof won't go up and seal with the rest of the roof.
Now today, it is pouring down rain and my car is parked outside! I need help or some sort of "quick fix" until I can get the car to a jaguar dealership. Now i called one of my local Jag dealers and just over the phone, the gentleman told me they would have to replace the whole unit and other parts, which seems silly to me because the roof still opens and closes fine, its just a small section that wont go up. Please look at my photo and give me any advice or information you can!
Thanks all!!!
John

RE: Urgent Sunroof/Moonroof Help Needed!!!!!!!!
Nope, when i push the button for it to go up, it wont either....
Do you think if I close the shade that water would get in to the car or damage anything if i did drive it? As you can see, the gap isn't that large, but if water did get in there, would it have an affect on anything?

You can manually adjust the rails inside to get it closed for the time being. This will require taking the glass off.
To do this you pull the two plastic slide pins toward you (The black plastic things on the inside rails)
This will expose the back two screws, there are two in the front already exposed (4 total)
You will need a torx 20 to remove the screws, once the screws are out the glass panel comes right off. Once it's off you can push the mounting arms all the way down and screw the glass back on.
This should take about 15 minutes and will seal it until the dealership can have a look.
