I was having issues with instrument cluster not showing odometer reading.
I removed the unit and reconnected links after cleaning the connectors that did not help.

If I order a used unit, and install it on my car, will the odometer show mileage of my car or mileage stored in unit? i have to get this car inspected in maryland and I would need actual mileage of my car reading on the display.

Can i get it programmed? if so who should i contact for that.

It is likely to go into anti-theft and shut the car down as it is an integral part of the security/immobilisation system.

There are repairers for modules/clusters/etc...
