Central locking on o/s/r door not working, Will lock when you lean in over and then use remote to lock all other doors. Told it was the locking unit fault so bought a new one from Jaguar (it is the correct one apparently). Had two car mechanic's (not from Jag) look at it but find no way to take old one out, Tried all sorts. Any thoughts please

I assume 'o/s/r' means off-side rear, so the RH rear door when seated in the driver's position?

It may be best to remove the car to a Jaguar specialist, or perform the work yourself. Refer to JTIS for procedure, or download the Workshop Manual pdf from an Internet vendor.

I can certainly understand why you would not want to undertake that repair again!
