The CD Changer in my S-Type was retro-fitted and therefore is not controlled by the VACM.

Please, can somebody let me know how to set it up with Mongoose / SDD?

Maybe if somebody with the necessary ability was near Wolverhampton, they might demonstrate for me please?

Hmm... not really surprised.

 

I just picked up a cd changer off ebay. Fairly simple to fit. You need to be able to get at the connections at the back of the stack in the boot. loosen two bolts and remove two, lay it on its side, bolt in cd changer and connect small cable (power).
The hard bit is the optic line. The line is a big loop, so the light goes around in a circle ie in one unit and out to the next. So the changer has to be connected series.
On mine optic into dvd and optic to phone and from phone to head. So i had to take out the optic cable going to head from plug and plug that plug into changer. take the optic going to head into a new plug and plug that back into phone and put in a new optic cable from changer to phone.
So now the light come down the cable into dvd and out into changer and out into phone and back to head ,, circle ,, and then the head unit picks up the lot.
next week i am fitting VACM, THIS will need to be placed in the loop between cd changer and phone
