Default Vacuum leak elbow(s)? Car stumbles but no CEL

My 2000 3.0 always had a stumble when shifting into 3rd gear, then it got worse and would stumble/stutter at idle, up and down about 50 rpms but never had a CEL. I thought it might be the IMT o-rings and replaced them, it helped a little but not much. I plan to use carb cleaner and check all vacuum lines, in reading a post by Joycesjag about vacuum lines https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ics-faq-52720/ he mentions two elbows under the intake that are known to leak, a seperate post on jagrepair shows replacing only one elbow, is it one or two?

Actually there is only 1 elbow under the lower intake on the MYs 1999~2002.

Brutal points it out in the above link from Norri.

Sorry for the confussion.

But there's a 2nd hose that fairly often leaks, just it's not under the intake - right?

Towards the engine rear I think...

JagV8, the most common elbow that leaks is located under the lower intake as Gus points out in this repair: http://jagrepair.com/VacuumLeakSType2000.htm

The 2nd overlooked, I believe would be the brake booster elbow that is located on the backside or firewall side of the upper intake (or plenum), as Brutal suggests in post 5 of this link: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...e-today-42429/

Yes, that'll be the 2nd one I expect.
