Valentine stealth install?
I have a stealth installed k40 in my 07 S-R and I'm not very happy with this radar.
I'm planning to upgrade to a Valentine 1 in the near future and was wondering if anyone has done a stealth installation in their car.
If so, how? Any pictures?

Due to the front and rear antenna of the v1, the best place for it is on the windshield. They do display a separate display module which can be mounted anywhere...

There are remote antena unit that can be installed to remedy that problem. Also there are locations in the car where you can place the radar and have an invisible installation while sacrificing minimal range.
I was wondering if anyone has performed anything like this... because I will do this in the near future.

This is an old thread but I wanted to do this to. The rear mirror V-1 radar detector install is pretty sweet. Found out the Eurotek does this custom install. I got the e-mail below from them. Be aware that the prices do change!!
The price is too high for me on top of the V-1!!
Look at the picture. You must mount the volume control and speaker somewhere else but they are small and can be put most anywhere.

Yes we have done a ton of Jaguar S type R before and after owning two of them we know the install quite well.
Here are two options for you.
We can convert the 2005 mirror for the display but the 2005 mirror will loose Auto Dim. If you are ok with this the cost for the mirror conversion is $475.00
If you would like to have the auto dim work we suggest an earlier 2003 S type mirror. We can provide those to you we should have stock, For the auto dim versions we charge $599.00 If you require a core mirror I would have to double check on the additional cost.
The V1 unit itself can be mounted 2 ways. In the rear on the parcel shelf under our cover or in the roof. We will perform the modifications to the V1 to be mounted free or charge if you purchase our mirror service.
The Remote Audio unit is used those cost $49 and Eurotek is able to mount those controls in most dash and console trim panels. All you will see is the knob and tiny 1/8 speaker hole making the install factory looking. Depending on the trim panel used will determine the cost for this. Prices range from $175-$275 additional.

My Walmart "Cobra" Radar/Laser Detector, though not stealth, is the best $150 anti-ticket machine i bought yet.
