I have a 2003 3.0 sport with a 5 speed manual and 76,000 miles. Recently replaced the water pump which was not too expensive ($300 parts and labor) The hose looked ok so decided not to replace it due to the expense ($190). Within a short period the hose developed a leak probably related to age and bending of the hose during the course of replacing the water pump. The hose is sold as an assembly with "sub hoses" and plastic fittings. Probably a good idea to replace the hose assembly whenever the water pump is replaced.
