Default Brembo Rotor Source

I'm a new owner of an '03 S-Type R with Brembo brakes.

Looking for a good source for all four brake rotors.

Any suggestions?
So far I've put in Jag Spec Sirius/XM, done the Battery, Thermostat and coolant service, Composite Tranny pan warped so replaced, powdercoated stock wheels black, other odds and ends. Car was pretty abused, but mechanically pretty sound. Got it for Private party value. 63K miles.

I know this is my first post, but I've enjoyed the section, you guys are cool.

Thanks in advance for the suggestions for rotors. $479 for fronts only at the *******!

Rick =)

Congrats on your purchase! Try ken@motorcarsltd.com he advertises here and helps with specifics when he can. I have personally dealt with him and nothing but kudos.

Rick's a good source of info so at least give Ken a chance. Others will hopefully have further ideas.

Congrats & welcome, btw!

Here are a few options

1) For factory rotors, there is a jaguar/porsche parts dealer on the internet that sells the rotors at 25 to 30% off retail + shipping based in NV

2) After I bought the factory rotors, seems like there are a few aftermarket rotors by Eurospare for about $180 /pair. Your really have to makesure that rotors are the correct diameter (365mm / 14.6" x 32 mm x 1.28" from JTIS). Most websites have sports, regular, non-brembo STR later rotors on the website. I think the non-brembo are large but a bit smaller then the brembo.

3) Business at the dealers is poor, I made my local dealer an offer for factor rotors at a really good price...suggest you talk to the parts manager and do the deal over the phone

Got my rotors from Ken today...seemed like a great guy. Very smooth transaction and fair prices.

Thanks for the replies. Will let ya'll know how the install goes.

These rotors are so big, I don't see how anyone could warp them, but my wheel is shaking on braking and I checked them for runout and they had a little too much, It's not bad, but I'm sure this will fix it up good, I'm doing new pads and rotors on all four corners on this brake job.

In my search for the rotors I found a good tip on how to keep the parking brake from engaging when I do the work...very helpful. Apparently you push the button down while you are turning the car off and the parking brake will not engage.

I'm really enjoying the motor in this car so far. It's quirky with some electrical issues, otherwise it's pretty fun and it looks pretty cool too. I never liked the grill too much, but everything else is pretty bad *** looking. The grill is just over the top for me, but I'm working on it.

The wide rear tires and the entire rest of the car looks awesome.

I've had a couple of things I couldn't figure out that the dealer had to help me with. I just put a new battery in it, it was 6 years old! The thing is the radio was spontaneously going into mute because apparently the battery was about to go. I think the seat heaters finally killed it. Those spontaneously go off too? I don't know. Maybe it's by design, after they are on for a while they just go off?

That's all I got for now.

Thanks again for referring me to Ken.

Rick =)

Yes, they're on timers.
