What the heck is this
My used '03 s type 3 liter makes a growling noise and noticably surges just before it reaches full operating temperature. The noise seems to come from the right rear. This only hapens at a steady speed of 35 - 40 mph and 1500 - 2000 rpm. Once it warms up it quits. Help Don R

Sounds like the transmission surge that's documented with a fix TSB in the stickies/FAQs. Have a read
