I have the sat nav set up with the std speakers/stereo.
Have changed front speakers to high quality splits and upgrading rears to premium 2 way.

Plenty Jaguar amps on ebay (as well as Ford Explorer?), but unsure which one to buy!
Some appear to be really cheap. Will another Jaguar model amp fit?

STR is a 2002.5 Australian spec M45134 ('pre-production').

Please see photo of loose plugs in trunk so I assume car has a prewire.

That sounds like it's equivalent to the NAS (USA/Canada) 2003.

Do you mean the Jaguar or Alpine amp?

Do you have the 6-CD player in the trunk and/or do you want to fit it?

Yes the car would be the equivalent to the USA/Canada 2003.

I am not sure of what amp would fit wheather Jaguar or Alpine, I would assume the Jaguar branded amp would be a direct fit.

And yes I forgot to mention that I have the standard 6-CD in the trunk.

 

As you already have sat nav & 6-CD changer, that rules out some of the things those plugs might have fitted. Being pre-production, jag may well have wired up for many optional items (as well as probably fitting many actual items).

Does it have the factory phone?

I don't know when Bluetooth was first available but pre-production might perhaps be wired for it.

Others will know some of those plugs. Check out posts by WinterJag as a start as he fitted a number of things himself on a similarish age STR.
