I just got a bluetooth and phone module from a late model Jag to put in mine since I found out I was prewired. But when I looked at it today, the phone module didn't have a plug for the d2b link. There is just the harness connector and that's all. I know there should be at least two other ports to plug stuff into (antenna and d2b) but this doesn't seem to have it. It is the correct software level (AC) but I think it isn't from a S-type. So, is this unit from a XJ? I think those are different and if it is I take it that it won't work will it and I'll have to get the correct module, right?

 

Sounds like the phone module is incorrect, maybe from an '00-'02 S-type or '98-'03 XJ. The X, S '03-'08, XJ '04 and newer should be nearly the same if not exactly the same. Dont quote me on that though. They would all have the D2B link connection.
