Hey all, going thru my trunk & spare tire well, I saw this wiring plug coming from the back trim panel by the battery. There are no mating plugs near there. All my lights work and even the rear fog lamps & trunk light & fuel cover. My S-Type is the base model. Is this just a pre-wire for some upgrade my car doesn't have? Just wondering. Thanks!

 

Thats for the transit device when shipped new to keep the battery from going flat. Tuck away no further use unless it gets wet in the trunk and corroded or gets pinched to the point the wires are connected. Then the car wont shut off when you turn off the ignition.
