Default who posted 2 new MAF sensors for STR

I have read recently that a fellow member has 2 new MAF sensors and would be willing to part with 1.

Would you please come forward as I can't recall the thread it was from.

Thank you

Rick

He has a 4.2 NA, not STR, but it may be no different...I don't know.

Thanks Ahol ()

I knew I just read that but I must be getting forgetful!

I just checked Rock Auto and they are listing different part numbers for the 2003 STR and 2005 4.2, BIG price difference too. Bummer

how 'bout JEPC?

Tricky bidnuzz, those MAF's....My bride "Tweeted" that she had CEL on the 05 3.0L....and it checked as P0171/174. Couldn't find any vacuum leaks even using your pics and diagrams! Swapped air box top-covers with the 03 and no problems either one. Swapped back after a few weeks and the codes revisited the 05. (JPEC and labels on the two parts confirmed common p/n though)

Took MAF out of 05 and cleaned it with MAF cleaner, reinstalled: no joy. Just before she made grand trip to FL panhandle, I swapped MAF's again, so she couldn't blame CEL for distracting her whilst she ripped the valence and undertray to shreds on a parking curb. (Slapping self - shut up!) I drove the 03 to work nearly a week after that because it wasn't getting much use with daughter home from school. I put 400-500 mi on it with no problems. (changed out the AutoZone alternator for a wrecking-yard model, too and canx'd the constant "Batt" light)

So....trepidatiously, I sent her back to LA with her mother's MAF installed, but showed her how to put the IP in test mode, just in case. Don't know if the DTC's reported there will allow a diagnosis should she get a light, but it's a start.
