My next step is to install navigation. I prefer the later model setup over the 03 setup.

Is this pretty much a plug and play or will it even work in my car?

 

I thought I remember something about the rear windshield being used in the system for the antenna.

 

Can you explain the later model a bit?

Ok then I guess it will work. I asked this question because it seems there are subtle differences.

I was looking at a Mina Gallery body kit and the one I like fits 05 and up. I just wanted to make sure that the electronics aren't going to be different. I don't want to purchase a unit and it does not work. Especially since I will probably get it off of Ebay.

 

I was under the impression the was only pre and post facelift audio equipment. I. E. All post facelift audio/navigation equipment will fit and work in any post facelift as long as you have all the correct modules, I was not aware the were different sat navigation in post facelift apart from different firmware disc updates

 

Well, this one seems OK but some modules wouldn't be because they changed across to CAN bus (such as EPB) or changed for emissions (SAI etc) or whatever. These changes don't all happen at once so you'd have to look at JEPC or elec guide or whatever.
