Default from an xjr to an s type, now have a small problem help please

i have now a jaguar s type 3.0 v6 2004 model, theres a slight nock on the engine and its missfiring on the left hand bank cylinder number 2,4,6 ??? ive changed all coil packs any suggestions thanks

safz welcome to the S Type Section.

Suggestions:

-Get codes read

-With having 2, 4 and 6 misfiring, sounds like a vacuum leak for that bank. See below:

i doubt the nocks that bad it clears on accaleration, ok the codes are

It shouldn't do that. It's faulty and needs fixing as I think you do know
Rick's advice is probably worth taking. You sure look to have a quite bad leak on one bank or possibly a bad cat (careful, it could be on either bank).

driversafe, do you hear a rattling sound from underneath the front of car (toasted/worn cats can rattle).

whats your verdict on a decat? will that be an option? thers no vacume leak and i cannot hear any of it sprayed brake cleaner on them changed all coil packs aswell, thanks

You can have your exhaust guy cut the pipe just aft of the cats to peek into the cats to see if the honeycomb (catalyst cells) are melted.
