Default You got me stumped

Good day,

I had a coolant leak and one of the top hoses behind the reservoir tank had a hole in it. Replaced it, put everything back together, drove it tonight to the store about 4 miles each way, checked for leaks, everything looked good, went out to the garage after about 1 1/2 hours, and there was coolant under the car again.

Any ideas?

My advice from nearly a year ago hasn't changed, post #10 here:

Get thee a coolant system pressure tester. Many parts stores offer them as free loaners. You're working blind without one. Don't rely on what you see running when the engine at idle, as the pressure is very low then. You need a tester to fully tax the system and aggravate any weak spots.

My best guess is you've got more than one leak. Maybe the first one only leaked above 5 psi, and the second one only above 10. The second one was never obvious because pressure was continually venting from the first leak. You fixed that, and now pressure builds high enough for the second one to leak. You've fixed one problem. Continue troubleshooting and look for a second problem.
