I got the master manual from ZF and I made a tiny PDF with the flowchart and some specs for you guys.

What does their 40 (degree) C + 10 (degree) C mean (on p4)? Are they trying to say between 40 & 50 C?

That would be correct, you have a threshold of 40C-50C for the fluid.
