Default Greets from Detroit! Newbie to forum and Jag!

Hello fellow F-Type lovers!

I just picked up a 2014 convertible v8 S!

Wow, what a car.

I'm new to sports cars, Jags, and this forum. Looking forward to learning all about this amazing machine.

Cheers!

Mike

Hopefully we start to see more. I first saw the F-Type at the NAIAS in Detroit 2 years ago, it haunted me ever since!

Welcome and congrats! Good to see another local on the forum. Stohlen is right... very few F-Types in the area. I have only seen 4 in 2 years. All convertibles and all around Birmingham.

I will, as soon as the weather breaks. I'm a passionate amateur photographer so I'll be very picky!

Your color combination (brg/camel) is a stunner! Is your quote/username from the Jeremy Clarkson Top Gear review?? :-)

Congrats and welcome! You've come to a great place to get all the guidance you could possibly want. There are a lot of very knowledgeable, nice, and helpful people here. These cars have been generally very trouble-free, and I wish you an awesome ownership experience.

A previously-owned V8S is now a great choice, and I expect it to become even more desirable in the future as a relatively rare V8, RWD, F-Type, convertible. I chose not to go V8 new, because the significant price premium wasn't worth it to me, but current market value is now getting to the point where I'm also seriously tempted pick one up.

Post some pictures!

Thank you!

I agree, I grabbed it from the owner of a Mazda dealership for $60k (sticker was $100k) You can generally find them in the mid 60's. Mine had 17,000 miles and in perfect condition.

Welcome! Good to see there'll be another F-Type toolin' around the roads in Detroit this summer.

We got some good weather coming, so take and post some pics!

I'm probably one of the convertibles that MI-FType sees around B'ham, but maybe I'll see you when heading on 94 to AA sometime.

I'm also a hobbyist photographer. The composition of the second pic is awesome. Besides shooting while overcast, do you have any tips on photographing cars? I took some photos of my '14 corvette and they turned out ok after some post processing...but nothing very exciting.
