anyone know what these little clips are for when putting in new brembo pads? they came in the box of pads, and they also come with the anti rattle spring and pin kits..they appear to be made of high strength metal as well, so i am guessing it fits somewhere in the pad to caliper connection
there is no reference to it in the JTIS, i am using 2001 version, so i am wondering could this little piece be do to a TSB or some kind of change they made for some reason later on post 2001?
and yes i've tried seeing where it fits or slides into, but haven't had any luck...
Look inside your calipers for these, I believe you looking at new guide plates for the pads, some cars don't use them and its provided as a universal package, please let us know if that is correct...

My initial thought was they were anti rattle alignment guides for the ends of the pads. But, this link really has me leaning toward my statement regarding them as a universal package for multiple vehicles. I do not see those clips even mentioned in this post on a 2005... https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...eplace-112035/ ....take in mind, Porsche, Merc, BMW and many others use Brembo.
Those clips probably are not necessary but I would imagine the reason that some don't have them is because, like the OP, the installers didn't know where to put them.
