Default Getting my Ivory Leather seats repaired

Been a year now since buying our 2003 S-Type 4.2 Base. Since buying it
we noticed that what ever they used to cover the Ivory Leather was flaking
off and getting into the carpet and all over our clothes. Took a brush and
vacuum over all the seats and discovered they must have just used some
cheap color matching spray paint. Here are the before photos. Tomorrow
afternoon will have the after photos posted.

He started working on it and now we discover that the original seat color is what is
showing under the white. He must strip the entire car now. Will wait and see what it
looks like after the strip job before adding the die job. Turned into a 2 day job now,
and the price almost doubled to $700. Ouch. If it looks good enough stripped, we will
just leave it at that.

Day is done and the job UN-finished. Next Thursday they are coming back down to
tag team it. He was totally unprepared to completely strip the entire car. Had to get
him a couple scotch bright pads and my shop vac to use.

Received a text and they will be here in the morning to finish the job, went down to
start it after letting it sit all week, Oh no, Alarm goes off and no ignition. At least I
installed the battery maintainer with quick plugs and hooked it up for an overnight
charging. Rains are moving in, told them they could use my underground garage
car wash bay to work on it if its raining. Don`t want it getting wet inside. Hopefully it
will look good when they are done.

He has been working on it since 9am. He just left to go get some lunch at
1:30pm. Here are some progress photos. A ways to go yet.

Oh yes, the weather has been terrible working conditions outside, its been
raining and drizzle with a few snowflakes mixes in with temps about 37F. And
very windy.

Drivers seat strip job, looks like more work

Back seat drivers side. Looks good.

Drivers seat, few area of die to remove yet.

Front passenger. same story

Default Job complete, I am impressed with the work

They just finished up and had to run to another job in MSP. good 1.5 hour
drive away into rush hour traffic. They did a fantastic job of making the seats
look great. Will get some better pictures when I go pick up the wife from
work after 6pm. Pictures I just took in our garage don`t do it justice.
