My 1977 XJ-S came on Wolfrace wheels, but with a set of Kent wheels as well.

Are the bright parts of these wheels supposed to be diamondcut alu or as on mine: Sílvergrey paint ?

 

I believe some of the early XJS wheels were polished and clearcoated natural metal. Most of the later wheels and all saloon wheels ( I'm almost 100% sure on saloons, by open to correction) were painted. Autoglym Wheel Silver is the colour of the light grey.

 

Thanks. I had seen pictures of both and was confused. I will then use my wheels as is, including patina. That is on line with the rest of the cars presence... :D
