Default Paramount Performance V6 intercooler

Has anybody purchased this intercooler yet? How about experiences with this company? My 2015 V6 S already has the Velocity AP 200 cell cats and Velocity AP tune but now i'm looking for even more power.

We've seen zero evidence to say an upgraded intercooler is necessary or useful. It likely won't net you much power. A crank pulley is the way to go if you want more than you've got.

Thanks Stohlen for your input. I'm on a quest to hit 500 crank horsepower and i'm thinking the intercooler might be the last thing to add after pulley's, headers(when available), etc.

What we need most is a larger SC on that V6. The R1320 runs out of oomph (highly technical term) at about 6200 rpm (efficiency drop-off). We need to figure out how to adapt the R1900 to the V6 engine.

Try a water / methanol injection vs. that intercooler swap.

I'm not certain I want to strap a drum of mix on my roof for that next run through the Rockies.

Pretty close to what James May did for his tire cooling system on the volcano HiLux...

Ha, while I would love to see that...the gallon tank that most come with lasts alot longer than you might think.

I drive hard daily, drag race it and do 1/2 mile racing.

Yeah, but his mix was drinkable!

Here's a pic of of said volcano 'from the top so to speak', spelt: Eyjafjallajokull just in case you were wondering:

Is it just that the existing supercharger cannot flow enough to cope with the higher rpm, or that it's currently being run at a pulley ratio that ensures it runs out of puff at the stated rpm?

The latter. But that's to ensure maximum torque in the midrange. I purposefully sacrificed some high end hp in favor of more midrange torque. The larger intercooler radiator might help in the absence of a larger SC.
