I'm looking to get into customizing my xkr a bit. I may soon get painted but wanted to start with wheels and tires. Some say you need spacers too. That true also?

I got my Coventry Whitley's through carid - no spacers required as made specific to Jag.

If you get rims that are not hub-centric/designed for Jag, then you may need spacers

Jags have a larger hub hole than GM wheels that share the same bolt pattern; So commonly available GM wheels need the ID of the hub bore machined to 74mm to work.

Jags also have about 1.5" less offset than Modern GM cars.

The Hub diameter and the Offset is why most people think you need wheel adapters... because to fit most corvette, camaro, etc. wheels, you do.

Not sure where you are in CA but look at Victoria Tire in s-Cal I'd ordered mine from them and they were shipped to me.

Default Aftermarket wheels

I got a set of 4 wire wheels with tires on eBay for $800; he was asking $1,600, but he took my first offer. It was a wheel broker from TX.
