I have a 95 XJS 4.0. The color is a maroon. The color code is CGA with SDC interior ( coffee I believe ). When I bought it I was told it was a one of color. No name was given to it. Only one Jaguar was painted that color. I've had the bumpers repainted and the body shop had no trouble matching it. Does anyone know how to get the name or verify it is a one of color?

CGA comes up as "bright red metallic" although it looks more maroon but is listed for 1997 not 1994. Is that the code on your vin label?

Have you got a picture?
There was a really nice maroon colour called Moroccan Red.

Hi Baxtor, the color code is on the VIN label. It's not a bright red, more of a dark maroon with a hint of rust color in it. I sold used Jags in Dallas for about 8 years and know all the factory colors. I've never seen that color before on any Jag.
Steve, Moroccan Red is good looking but it's darker than my car.
I'm wondering if anyone has a contact Jaguar of America that can help? It would be great to get the real history on the color.
Thanks,Gary

Gary,

Why not get a Jaguar Heritage certificate for the car which will detail the key aspects of the build spec including the colour code / name.

Nice car!
You find the application form here: Jaguar Heritage
There are so many different red tones so it's impossible to say.
But when you open the drivers door you will see a label with the paint code, the interior trim code and perhaps more. Then go to Jag-lovers - the Jaguar Enthusiasts' premier resource on the Internet where you find the name of the paint and trim etc. You also find info on JDHT certificates.

I did find a site with colour chips. Your code is listed as "bright red mica" but looks to be the colour you have. Maybe just a poor choice of what to call it originally.

She looks like 'Regency Red' the same as the Car I'm restoring.

I've also got one in 'Morroco Red' and its definitely not that.
