Default Battery Saver Relay

Was checking to see if some codes were cleared after doing some repairs on my 2003 Vanden Plas, then a couple of new codes came up, B1313 Battery saver relay coil (circuit Failure) and B1314 Battery saver relay coil (circuit open). Can someone tell me were this relay is located, and if I need a new one a source to obtain it.

Thanks

I didn't see anything explicitly labeled "battery saver relay" in either the 00 xj Owner's Guide or the electrical guide, yet. Nothing obvious in the battery diagrams either. Could the system be part of the alternator?

I don't actually know for your car but I'd be thinking one (or any) of the ones in Fig 01.1 of elec. guide.

Interesting DTC's and interesting descriptions. I don't recall such a relay from my 2002 X308 but there could well have been development in the final MY. However, I can't find one in the 2003MY relay list!

The Jaguar DTC listing gives the following for B1313 and B1314 for MY 2003.5 onwards. The codes are not applicable to earlier MY's:

This suggests a circuit rather than a component fault.

The FEM is the Front Electronic Module and the REM is the Rear Electronic Module.

I think the 2003 X308 had a single BPM to the end of production and not separate front and rear modules like the X350.

Are you definitely using a compatible scantool?

Graham

hello my 2002 x type B1313 gives this error. Jaguar's error code list starts from B1315. The browser is original icarsoft. There is a problem but the solution is not in the manual. I hope Thermo will enlighten us

When the parking lamps are on, the Body Control Module (BCM) provides voltage to the hardwired dimmable
illumination sources based on the Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) illumination messages sent to the
BCM over the network. A continuous and on-demand Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) that sets when the BCM
detects a short to ground from the backlighting output circuit. This DTC also sets when fuse has failed or is removed.
