Default Missing hose

After working on my Jag and getting ready to replace the engine covers on the drivers side in the front on the valve cover I have a disconnected fitting sticking out. Something in the egr system I'm guessing. Problem is I don't remember disconnecting it nor can I find where it goes to. Can anyone shed some light on what it is and where it connects to. Sorry next time lots of pictures.

Thanks in advance

It's probably the part load breather that runs under the intake manifold to the rear of the engine. An accordion type hose.

Can you identify it off my engine even though mine is SC'd, I don't know if yours is? The EGR is located on the back side of motor, passenger side, btw.

RJ was right. It's the part load breather. The hose goes from there to the bottom of the throttle body under the intake manifold. It is broken off, it doesn't disconnect from there. You migjt be able to temporarily tape it on but you need a new one.

i can't find it at all. Am I correct to assume it runs from the connector in the pic under the intake to the throttle body?

Yes. It actually goes to the throttle body base. I'd take a picture of mine but it's 4am and still dark here.

Looking closely at your pic I think I see it. From the connector go a few inches straight across the engine and it's down in the valley.
Question. What is that to the right of the connector on the cam cover ?

Still unable to locate. Could you highlight it on my pic? Sorry to ask but I can't locate anything that isn't connected

I'm getting dizzy going back and forth between threads. I took some pics of my 98 the best I could in the dark on other thread. I don't know how to highlight or use a pointer. I marked it with a sharpie on my screen but for some reason it didn't post.

Here's a photo of mine. Previous owner must have repaired it with the rubber connector between the breather and the flex hose that runs under the intake to the throttle body. Hope this helps.

Yes. Thank you. He found it and it's posted the other thread.

Next problem.
How do I get this sharpie off my screen?

Sorry for the confusion with the threads. When I respond on my phone if I don't watch it opens the other thread. The iPad opens to this one. Go figure. Anyway I found the corrugated hose. I must admit I thought I was used for surrounding a missing cable. Anyway nothing in the end no fitting to reconnect it, new one is on the way. I thank all who commented and will keep you informed as to what I screw up next.
