That's a lot of body work, Dave - nice look. Are you doing away with the bumpers? What about the exhaust pipes? They'd look awesome half cut into that lower rear line. Keep us posted.

yes no bumpers, and will look at 2 pipes in the rear,as you say just on the bottom line.

 

Incredibly creative. I am in awe of your skills & can't wait to see the final product. I'm not usually a fan of people chopping up Brown's Lane's finest products. But in your case all I can say is, well done!

flywheel made and on,this is on a 4.2 na engine.

 

and with 6 speed manual gearbox fitted,4.2 v8

 

Not meaning to criticise, at all. But is that the cleanest you can get that V8? The gearbox is gleaming, in comparison. It's a shame it's not what's on show when the Bonnet's lifted. Which is why I'm questioning the appearance of your motor. Is that really the first thing you want people to see when popping the Hood?
Just sayin'......

yes I have done the gearbox,but not done anything to the engine as yet,

It's just shop dust from sitting around for a while, you can see the dust on the tranny too in the corners.
It's not like it's seething oil out everywhere from worn out seals.
After that happens road dirt starts caking where the oil leaks are and I don't see any of that here.

You almost could get away with a good blow off with some compressed air with a brush, but I light engine shampoo would be better.

 

Yeah I know. I was just stirring the pot a little, as this thread's just one long admiration of someone's obviously excellent skills, & I thought a little criticism was warranted (Positive! Of course ). & that's the first thing I've seen that could be criticised, pedantically.

The paint looks awesome, Dave. I love the Le mans style gas caps - assume they're feeding wing tanks? Looks like you've eliminated most of the body chrome - it's a great look.
You've come a long way - best of luck with the rest of the project.

gas caps are xj/s1.2or 3,and go into just the one tank above the rear axel.
