Default Jaguar luggage ????

Has anyone seen custom luggage specifically designed to fit into an XK convert boot. I was wondering if there was maybe a matched pair (his/hers) that was designed to use all of the space in the boot even under the top . Also maybe extend it to something that would fit in the rear seat. Maybe it should be sufficient enough to cover a 5 day trip for 2 people. Would be nice in leather with the color of your choice.

It was quite awhile ago, but the topic came up before, and there was a link to the custom luggage. Try a search, you may find it.

There is luggage designed for the f type 'vert boot, bit it wouldnt hold much and it costs a bomb. I think putting stuff in the back seats is a safer choice.

If you want luggage in ballistic nylon, then custom pieces shouldn't be "too expensive" if you measured what you wanted. Hard cases are really going to limit over all space.

What I was questioning was if anyone has designed twin soft bag leather luggage to fit in the boot of the XK convert. Something with the Jag logo and or leeper. Something that was form fitted to the trunk space yet leaving the capability to drop the top. Something that cuts the trunk in half and uses the max height and also fits under the top cover. Then to go along with this maybe a twin set to fit and conform to the rear seat section . Not looking for hard type but then again not a back pack or trash bag style. I've seen various exotic car custom luggage which added a touch of class for traveling folks.

Did you check out the link to the other thread above?
Here is a direct link to the X150 page for that manufacturer:

Thanks almost there. Other then I am having trouble loading their site it is something like I am looking for. I'll take another look when the weather clears and my internet service isn't a problem. I didn't see this before. I'll see if they can do this in leather and maybe a little different shape.

Hi,

We have just come back from a 1300 mile trip in our XK Convertible, using bespoke luggage made by Colin at Bagworld (Bagworld | Bespoke bags and luggage).

He made us 7 soft bags in the colour scheme to match the car, very reasonably priced, and they worked a treat.

We were able to pack kit that we knew would fit into the car and let the hood drop. I am pleasantly surprised to say that the baggage worked better than we expected.

There are 7 pieces to the set - 2 shoe bags (fit under the luggage cover in the boot), two boot bags (each takes up half of the remaining boot space with some to spare at the sides. Also leaves room for a couple of coats to lie on top. Two bags sit in each of the seats in the back of the car, and the seventh sits on the tunnel in between them. This last bag is intended to be a cool bag, but Colin made it into a camera bag for me. Once these bags are in place, there is still plenty of space above them and under the windbreak for additional items (coats, shopping etc).

Pictures of the bags will follow, but I cannot recommend Colin highly enough. His turnaround time is very fast, and he is willing to customise to meet your needs (and the make/model of the car). Bags are made out of a heavy grained vinyl and are trimmed with piping of your choice.

Hope this is useful

Geoff

And this is how they all fit together (in a different car to ours)!

Default Fitted luggage - X150 convertible

I can confirm that Colin has done an excellent job for our car, too - we picked up our luggage set last week (though he offered to deliver) and are about test it on a trip to from the UK to Italy.

Colins' enthusiasm and expertise in producing bespoke luggage is second to none. It was a pleasure to spend time at the factory and witness his team at work first-hand. His eye for detail, coupled with immense experience and genuine enthusiasm mean he is able to interpret client requirements whilst making constructive suggestions to further enhance the end result.

His delivery was on schedule and the set was extremely reasonably priced.

In addition to the 7-piece set described by Geoff C above, Colin made us a 'boot tidy' which is secured in the slightly larger space inside the left side of the boot/trunk and he also made us a suit carrier which fits on top of the main boot bags provided they are not over-stuffed.

It was a pleasure to work with Colin and as you will see from the attached images (which are his copyright) the result is exceptional.

Luggage set ready for collection!

Shoe bags, showing how they fit - also, boot tidy attached by hook-and-loop fastener to trim

Large boot/trunk bags stowed....

Rear seat bags in position - cool bag to centre.
