Exclamation Castrol ATF Fluid Question

Have been reading forums and preparing the last and final fluid change (oil done, = synthetic, transfer case and differential done, = royal purple).

Learning from many posts the correct fluid other than Jaguar Dealer liquid gold, has been Castrol Import Multi-Vehicle Transmission Fluid.

Here comes my question and need knowledgeable guidance: There are 2 of these available in my area.
1. Castrol Import Multi-Vehicle Transmission Fluid.
2. Castrol Transmax Import Multi-Vehicle Transmission Fluid.

I certainly do not wish to purchase the wrong one. Any one have insight?

Thumbs up Definitive Answer From Castrol

Patience has never been my virtue. Phoned Castrol direct, they rebranded and slightly upgraded the former "Castrol Import Multi-Vehicle Transmission Fluid" to "Castrol Transmax Import Multi-Vehicle Transmission Fluid".

The Castrol people, even took down year, make, model and even transmission model and gave me a long verbal technical blurb of meets "blah, blah, bkah, Jatco, blah, blah...." Committed that the latter listed Transmax is correct for Jaguar X's.

Beat me to it...Transmax is pretty much just the newer label.

I use the Castrol Import Multi-Vehicle Automatic Transmission Fluid Fluid (ATF Fluid) redundant????????

I use it in VW 09A and Jaguar X-Types. They are JATCO gearboxes and that Castrol fluid is for Japanese gearboxes.

Idemitsu K17 is the spec you're looking for on the back label or company's data bulletin. Product of choice for me is AMSOIL.

This is what I use https://www.redlineoil.com/product.aspx?pid=51&pcid=9
I've run two races on it and changed it between each one. Seems to work well and I've had no transmission issues. Plus it specifically says for JATCO on it.
