Primitive gas fill. I was expecting capless. Locking glove box and cubby hole when car is locked. Snap crackle pop with no button only in dynamic/sport shifting mode.
While searching for a missing wheel lugnut key I came across a description of a rear storage compartment (pg 69 in owner's manual). However, no button; no storage compartment. I saw what looked like an amplifier when I removed the cover, so perhaps on vehicles with the Meridian sound system Jaguar had to find a place for the amp, and that was it.
Also, first time driving the vehicle, after 250 highway miles I exited the interstate and ran into six lanes of traffic stopped for a traffic light. The engine promptly died. The second time it happened I saw the eco icon. I am still getting used to it, but I imagine it is a worthwhile feature for those who drive in heavy urban traffic.

1. The rear storage compartment is in the boot (trunk) that is located under a 24"x18" carpeted panel on the floor of the boot.
2. If you don't like the ECO feature you can turn it off with a button near the shifter on the center console. You will need to press that button every time you start the car if you want ECO disabled. Permanent disabling of the can be accomplished by follow the instructions in one of the ECO threads.
I didn't ever expect to get 32MPG (or even 28) in this car... I have seen threads that mention the app calc is a few mpg optimistic, but I'm still pleasantly surprised to approach 30Mpg.

In the two-ish weeks I've had my V8, I routinely get 28-32MPG on the highway doing well, let's just say, highway speeds.
City driving tends to be rather lower than my EPA listing. At highway speeds, if you're in 8th gear then the RPMs are low enough that it's not too much different from having a moderately efficient 4 cylinder which would be working at roughly twice the RPM.

I've never ever gotten better than about 22 mpg. I calculate it myself. The mpg reported by the car is like a politician - it tells you what you want to hear, but is nowhere near reality.

An admonition: God created throttle pedals to be used.
I'm getting 21 mpg avg! (Indicated 22.7.) With a V6S! I figure what is going on is that it is NOT my daily driver, so I beat on it when I have it out and don't do much freeway driving (although I do some...) But I have had two trip of over 200 mi out of 3300 so far. Oh wait, one of those was bumper to bumper for about 50 mi
Should I be worried that something is wrong?

Are you worried the fuel economy is too high or too low? For sporty driving, your numbers are fairly typical. If you don't move the throttle pedal after moving out, you can expect similar numbers to the above. If you are really wailing on it, 14-18mpg is more in line. Around the track...under 10.

Nope.
I guess I failed to mention 32MPG was on 90 mile highway trip at avg sped of 56mph. The rest of the time I am vying for the lowest mpg title :-) ...as it should be for such a fun car

I've done a 4000 Mile Road Trip, I've done a couple 1000 Mile Road Trips. There is no such thing as driving without Dynamic mode on, therefore my fuel economy is about 17 to 19 Highway, and 15 to 16 City. Resigning myself to the fact that I did not buy a fuel efficient car, I've started making it a game to see how low I can get it.

We used to have an 09 CTS-V. I was bummed if it got better than 10 - 12 around town. Only got 20 once on the highway, usually around 17 and that's w/o hammering it.

The throttle pedal is for being the first to traverse from one red light to the next.
My daily commute involves, each way, about 11 miles of highway travel on perfectly flat, almost perfectly straight, and (before the current construction) very smooth road. Since there's usually little traffic as I don't leave for the office until after rush hour is over and return under similar conditions, there just isn't much need to repeatedly play with the throttle and there are far too many police cars to drive at a speed that lets the engine continuously wail in 7th or 8th gear.
I also have been able to get above 30 MPG (as indicated by the car's computer) on the highway. I tend to drive a bit slower in the Jag on the highway than in my other cars because the cr attracts a lot of attention and the athermic windshield on the 2017 limits radar range.
In the city and on back roads when I drive more aggressively my MPG varies from mid to high teens.

Oh I'm stoked to get such good mileage! Better than my C43 (a bigger V8, duh... and only a 5 sp auto)
I took it for a beat over a mountain pass, (Hwy 9 for local folks) an hour each way and still got 18.5! And yeah, when I'm not flogging it, I try to take it easier than I normally do on the fwy. Try being the operative word...
