If your dwarf ever needs extra space (like they always do), you can move the air compressor to under and behind the boot/trunk tub. Gives you about ½ cubic foot of extra stowage space!

Yes, sensor for Auto High Beam.

Squirt a hose at the top sensor when you are washing your cat, and it should (if stalk is in correct position) wipe water all over you (if you are standing in the wrong spot)...

You cannot operate the touch screen with driving gloves on. I had to cut off one fingertip from the right glove in order to use the touchscreen.

Have you tried the ones they make for smart phones that have some silver thread woven into them? Maybe they'll work? But I don't think they're leather; rather woven.

Take off the gloves and turn on the steering wheel heater.

Honest question: What is the purpose of driving gloves?

i always assumed it was to keep sweat from your hands from interfering with your grip of the wheel and secondly for warmth. Of course in racing it's for fire purposes. But I could be wrong on all counts.

The purpose of Nomex driving gloves certainly is functional, but only if the rest of your body is also covered in 3 or more layers of Nomex and/or Kevlar. The other functional issues are better resolved by climate control (or real winter gloves).

I suspect they serve more as a fashion statement and don't complement my very chic and cosmopolitan ensembles of Carhartt shirts and Kirkland jeans particularly well.

If I had a vintage car with a wood wheel, I would certainly wear a pair of leather stringbacks to protect the wood.

Until then, I'm far too self-conscious for them.

Also, I've a pair of those gloves that allows you to use the touchscreen. Surprisingly accurate and helpful.

Default Stealth Screen

Did not know that when in stealth screen if you wipe your finger across the screen it goes back to the home screen.

Also, I had a 2016 manual coupe and could not raise the spoiler (rear wing) unless the car was stopped. Now I have a 2017 automatic convertible and can raise and lower the spoiler any time -- besides the automatic 60/40 mph. In the US apparently it has to do with the fact that in the coupe the spoiler extends up and back impairing rear view, not so with the convertible.
On a separate note, and this may have been discussed before, if you put the car in park and unbuckle your seatbelt the car turns off.

If you have the gear shift in Sport and hit the park button, the shifter will move right into "D" on its own. I'm not sure why it made me feel dumb for moving it back on my own all the previous times. Lol...

When I had my XF with the pop up knob, the general info on the forum was not to shut the car off unless in park as the car would then shift itself into park. I've done what you describe in my f type. Makes me nervous to think this is detrimental. Any feedback on this from forum?

Just so we are in the same page.. I'm not turning the motor off first.

I stop, hit the "Park" button and then shut down.

Surprised me too the first time it went right then up to park from S. However, I don't think it should be a problem as I would surmise that 99% of F Type owners drive in S mode (not saying all the time but use it) and It would be a big problem and you would be hearing about recalls already if it were detrimental.
