on the convertible, to lower/raise the roof while driving in the winter, you can just drop both windows half an inch with the window buttons before pressing the roof button, then the windows don't go all the way down and up for the roof lower/raise, its a small thing but if you are moving in the winter and want to operate the roof, it saves you some of the icy blast
Thanks to this thread I now realize that I knew hardly anything about my own car lol.
28 years of marriage and I realize I know hardly anything about my wife -- the car I can figure out with the help of the manual and this forum!
Dynamite thread, had to share it on the front page...

Dunno if this has been mentioned before, but I just stumbled across a way to activate the rear view camera while driving, and without having to engage reverse gear.
When stopped, or at very low speed (less than 5 km/h?? - not tested), hit the "P" parking sensor button on the dash/console.
Then touch the "cameras" icon on the touchscreen.
This activates the rear view camera, and it stays activated up to at least 70 km/h.
I didn't get a chance yet to see if it works at over 70 km/h.
But I was able to confirm that it can't be activated from scratch while doing more than 5 km/h or thereabouts, you have to slow right down or stop before you can get it to work.
Edit - and just to add, it works just the same as the external rear view mirrors in that "objects are much closer than they appear".
For example a car following at say one car length behind appears to be waaay further behind in the rear view camera.
Edit #2 - I got to 107 km/h just now (couldn't go any quicker coz crap Adelaide traffic) and it still worked, so I have a feeling it won't turn off no matter what speed you are doing. Also, because of the fish-eye lens effect, I could see cars in the left hand lane behind me that I couldn't see in the LHS exterior mirror because my view of the mirror was blocked by a bloody great 20" rim & tyre I was transporting in the passenger seat (remember, I'm on the left driving in Oz). But the same thing should work for you North American and European bods if you are ever carrying anything big and bulky in the passenger seat.

Yes, it is there on the US cars, and it can be turned on from there at any speed.
For *me*, it's wildly disorienting. I wish we could record it. Also, I got that Waylens Horizon dashcam. Never used anything so simple in my entire life, and the speed, rpm overlay from the OBD sensor is superb.
Hopefully you removed the plastic cover on the wife.
