Default rear trailing arm bush ?

my 09 x type failed MOT on rear trailing arm bushes, ?? which exactly is trailing arm ? is it an easy job

I am not sure what the MOT is refer to as trailing arms, but attached is the parts blow up for the rear suspension.
There are bushings located at piece numbers 1, 3, 6, 7, 9, and 10. Most likely they are calling out the bushings in piece 1.

A trailing-arm suspension, sometimes referred as trailing-link is a vehicle suspension design in which one or more arms (or "links") are connected between (and perpendicular to and forward of) the axle and a pivot point (located on thechassis of a motor vehicle). It is typically used on the rear axle of a motor vehicle.

A trailing arm design can also be used in an independent suspensionarrangement. Each wheel hub is located only by a large, roughly triangular arm that pivots at one point, ahead of the wheel. Seen from the side, this arm is roughly parallel to the ground, with the angle changing based on road irregularities.

Also called a rear stub axle or read hub carrier
