Default Pics of Black Wheels

Will need to be getting some winter rubber, so am thinking about some black shoes. Does anyone have some pics they can share of their's? Any pros and cons?
Thanks for the help

About 1/2 way down.
Love my black wheels, you can barely see the dust that everyone howls about.

The dust is crazy with the OEM pads. I guess if mine wasn't a garage queen and I drove it in the heavy Portland rain that would wash off the dust? So maybe rain is good!!!

Nup, been there done that and bought the T-shirt, rain just helps the brake dust to stick harder!

20" rims or 19"s? I have black centrifuges. I prefer diamond cut wheels but the black wheels dont show up the dust and look good. I wax them and the dirst washes straight off

Perfect timing depending on your Ohio "winter needs," especially in an F-Type:

Definitely no "cons". When I bought my winters, the aftermarket was only available in silver -- the black were sold out. Regretted that decision almost immediately -- so, I had the silver rims powder coated to black. WAY better.

I can do 19's or 20's. What type of wax do you use?

These are 19" Centrifuge in black. The car was a dealer build and I wasnt all that keen on the wheels when I first saw it but I've grown to like them. They are super easy to clean because there are no tight spaces to trap dirt.

I usually polish the wheels with the same polish I use on the car. Meguairs ultimate liquid wax was my favorite, but lately I've been using carpro reload which has given spectacular results at half strength. In that picture the car had been washed about 2 weeks before and given a hit of reload, but I'd driven it maybe 500km and it had been rained on a lot the previous day.

I see you have the black package also. I normally would not even consider black shoes, but think they will look super sexy with it.

And since you have owned both, how would you compare the F Type to the XKR?

I really loved the XKR. It is more practical than the f-type (more room to put stuff), a little more luxurious, and a little more comfortable. I had that in the 5.0 SC so it had more power. The stereo and media are below average. It handles very well. It sounds awesome but in the coupe you cant hear the exhaust unless you take the rear fixed windows out..

The f type has better steering and transmission. It has hugely better grip so for me it is quicker than I could drive the XKR. It also handles better. The media etc are far better and it is overall much fresher inside, though I dont really like wood in cars - after all, they aren't horse carriages. It sounds awesome and you do get to hear it.

It you like attention, my experience is that the f type is far, far more an attention getter than the XKR. I dont really know why that is the case as the XKR is a beautiful car itself. It might be the LEDs, maybe also the colour as my XKR was silver.

Always loved the Firesand color, and you did it as I would have, black (or CF) trim and black wheels.

I have satin black wheels on my BDE. Love them. They don’t show brake dust at all.
