The plastic handle in my sunroof slider panel broke and fell out. I can't find a part number in the parts catalog, only the complete slider panel. Anyone know of a part number for the handle only?

 

The same thing literally just happened to me this week as well. Hopefully someone can chime in because I haven't found an easy fix either and replacing the whole thing just isn't an option for me.

 

I talked to my local dealer and to Jaguar Corporate. The handle is not available as a replacement part. You have to buy the whole slider panel @ $300.+
If I can't find a used replacement, I guess I can glue the broken handle in place and use it manually. Glass roof works fine. Where is that plastic 3D printer!
I may also get a tasteful drawer pull to make it easy to open. Wood one maybe. It is an easily replaceable part. Doesn't make sense it is not available.

Thanks to Dr Dome! I have a replacement handle. Filled in the "pusher" with Steel epoxy. That piece won't break again!

 

I am new to this forum but am also in need of one of those slider handles. Reached up to open mine the other day and my finger went right through it. Too much direct sunlight over the years make them brittle. I can't believe Jaguar doesn't make that part available to reorder. I guess they figure they can't make any money off it as it looks like it would be a bout a $4.00 part, but I am sure they could mark it up to $50.00 just for us! It would be nice if they made a chrome covered one.

Thanks to Dr. Dome! I have a replacement handle as well. But, I was wondering if there is a top piece that goes with it also as it appears to have four slots for another piece to snap into. When mine fell apart I didn't see two pieces as it just crumbled apart unless the top part fell back into the slider compartment or something. I looked back in there with a flashlight and couldn't see anything. How does this piece attach and to what? Thanks
