Just noticed this under the parcel shelf. Tracker maybe? Can't make out anything to identify it.

I'd be interested my own self. Your guess of Tracker may be close, as it's about the size and shape of a LoJack. Different color though.........

I wouldn't go cutting anything until you know what it is; it may be tied in to the car in a way that immobilizes the car if the cord is snipped.

??? The zip tie so he can look at the barcode number? I'm pretty sure he's safe, it doesn't look like it has a Tilt Switch.
Course, I've been wrong before............ once.............. years ago.

Any thoughts on if this could be putting a constant drain on the battery (assuming it is a tracker?)

What Cee Jay said. Follow the cable and find out. Most likely you'll just need to pop the center back cushion for the back seat and it's getting power from that distribution box.
