Default trunk support brackets

I noticed today that my garage queen R has four plastic support under the gas tank to hold up the trunk floor ... my R bought new only has one (for the battery box) the holes are there .. but I can tell nothing was installed.

Now, I know why the trunk floor always fell down a bit -- Jaguar put a piece of foam on top of the spare to support the trunk floor.

What do most have ? It's a black plastic mount with one screw to the back bulkhead.

On mine, I have the space saver spare, but there's a metal threaded piece that threads down through one of the lug holes and into the assembly underneath (a foam piece that holds the jack). The top of this piece has a 90 degree bend and a flattened top, so it threads down to a point where it would give support underneath the floor in the center.

I have the 4 plastic supports under the gastank, behind the liner, and the above mentioned angled threaded piece through the (full) spare.

The good thing of that one is, that it is kind of adjustable in height, and with a bit of fiddling, perfectly supports the trunk floor in the center.

But I have also seen the foam squares under the floor for both full spars and space savers.

The angle threaded rod is the holdown AND a prybar. You can use it to pry hubcaps if you need it.

That is a different trunk arrangement . Will have to take a picture of mine in the morning ... I don't have a full spare

@yeldogt - you can install them you just need the brackets and some bolts/nuts. The OE fasteners aren't great, they poke out into atmo and rust solid on UK cars. I used stainless fixings on mine. If the car was equipped with a full spare you're more likely to find the brackets.
