Default ALL BLACK!!

I got a notice in the mail Saturday that the Legacy plates I ordered 2 months ago had finally arrived. So I beat it to DMV Well before opening (7:20) in order to avoid the crowds. Even at that I was #5 in line.

As I had an official notice, and I was Early, and I had read the directions and had all the required documentation, I got right up to Window #3, her first customer of the day.

I ditched the Ugly frame that came on the rear;

and um, Modified the front plate.

I like the look!!

Thank you for the complement.
Upper badge came from husband's old, long defunct sports car club, Chico Tach Watchers.

This badge is the last remnant of it ever existing.

When Nix came to live with us he dug it out unpainted and made a mount for it on the grill and I painted it. Nix tries to live up to this heritage.

They simply found another way to part us from our hard earned as these cost more than Plain Jane plates. Not that I'm complaining, I am a Very willing participant in the program.

California must be the only country doing that. My '65 S type came with its original black plates and a miniature keychain of the black plate.

As the Fifth Largest economy on the planet, I suppose California thinks they can do whatever they please to stay that way.

Great work, Elinor and great fortune as well!!

Not much chance of being that far up the lie around here at that time. Even with the appointment system.

And, yup. I've seen those plates on cars at the market. A bit perplexing as seen on much newer mundane cars. Not even close to NIX as to "classiness" . Or even to my much "newer" Jaguar. Unamed, ?????

well I am convinced California is a 'country', the rest of us peasants-in-misery are parasite States attached to it and to each other.

Yup. Our governor wanted to be POTUS a time back. Failed., so feels CA is the fall back. He thinks he is a word leader.....

Guts. Yeah. but, a bit nutty . Once known as gov. "Moon Beam" Suppose Linda said no!!! She lives in SF, but alas a medical condition robbed her of her singing voice.

yes I know Carl, I love her anyway. Met her at the Guitar Institute in L.A. when I attended there in 1978. I told her "Hola Preciosa" and she said "de donde eres mi amor?". I replied "sorry, that is privado". Her face went BLANK! So I asked her, ."cuando te vas a casar con Jerry?" and she goes "sorry, that is privado". Another student next to me cracks up and says: "you just met your match!" She was promoting her "Living In The USA" album at the time.
