Rarest F-Type models by production numbers including manual transmisision
One of the questions I get asked the most is which F-Types are the rarest, lowest produced, manuals production numbers or sales figures and things along those lines. Well thanks to Coronavirus lockdowns I have been able to work on projects this year including one that I started years ago of trying to curate the lowest produced F-Type models. Please note these numbers are for US. For most of the models listed below I have numbers/figures for most countries as well.
So here are the rarest F-Types in the US:
Model Production Numbers
2016 Project 7 43 - Yes 43. I know some sources and even auctions say 50 Project 7 for US but that is incorrect. There were 50 allocated to North America. 43 for US, 7 for Canada
2018 Manual 44
2019 Manual 45 - 1 stayed in the UK, so only 44 2019 manuals in the US
2018 SVR 50 - 42 remain registered in US. The other 8 have been totaled or are unaccounted for.
2019 SVR 71
2020 SVR 90
2017 BDE 300
2017 Manual 323
2018 400 Sport 338 - Interesting fact. There were also 338 produced for the UK
2017 SVR 467
2016 Manual 579-600 - This is in a range because I know I am missing 1 or 2 batches of pre-production F-Types. I will edit this later when I get a final tally.

I don't have an actual number for the F-Type R RWD but I recall at one calculating this based on a listings back when they were on sale and the information on Topix and came to a guesstimate of about 1000

You're welcome. And yea I don't think I ever saw any manual 2018-2019s advertised either. Definitely rare. Interestingly one popped up for sale not too long ago. I expect that if any of them were leases they will be up for sale sometime next year. https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...7531/overview/

Any chance you might have color stats to go with this (am I just being demanding)?
NICE. I'm pretty sure that's the first 2019 I've seen. If I had leased one, I don't think I'd be ready to part with it. Wonder if any of the other 43 US owners of 2019s will be within the next 2 years?

Nice. Definitely a rare occurrence to see any of these specially out on the road. From what I've noticed based on the few Project 7s that have been resold the owners don't drive them much.
I always thought the ‘15 RWD R was rare. Guess I was wrong
You could still say they are semi-rare right? There are usually only around 15 for sale at any given time. There have been approximately 25000 F-Types sold in the US. 1000 out of 25000 is still pretty low.
What do you mean? That the badges on rear front say R and AWD? I don't think that usually shows up in the build sheets.
The rear was misbadged at the factory, so it was self-conflicting in several ways. It was probably funnier then.
Ah. Yeah I have seen build info change during production. Must have been weird seeing an MT with AWD.
The funny part is that I didn't notice the wrong badges until the first day I drove it to work and was showing it off to the car guys in the office. I got a genuine laugh out of it.
