Question XK8 2005 Rear umper

Hi All
Some help please. I have a 2005 XK8 (RHD 65,000 miles) basically in pretty good nick, however I've just noticed that the rear bumper is starting to droop at the nearside corner openning up a 10 to 15mm gap between the top of the bumber and its usual snug location to the car body. There is some rusty water present in the gap which is to be expected in a 2005 motor after it has been raining hard recently, but no sign of impact damage and the centre and offside of the bumper seem fixed securely. Before resorting to visiting my rather expensive but knowledgeable and efficient Jaguar garage, I thought I would investigate whether there was a relatively simple solution to refix the nearside corner perhaps by accessing a mounting from the boot. Regrattably, I'm now >80yrs and my days of laying on my back with my set of spanners (including my old MK II set) are long gone, but if anyone has some helpful advice I would be most grateful. Thanks Chris

There is an alloy mount on each side that is prone to corroding. This thread from RaceDiagnostics may help, although some of the pictures are missing:

They are available (HJE6567AA) , but not cheap

The ‘plastic’ bumper mounts get split when the steel adjusting bolt corrodes in its aluminium thread and forces it apart. My bodywork guy repaired both of them with JB Weld epoxy and they are ok (for now). Bumper will need to come off to access the bumper mounts from underneath do from what you say it’s likely to be a job for the pros

Default 2005 XK8 Rear Bumper Removal (RHD)

Thanks everyone for your comments. It sounds like an expensive body job to get the pros to remove the bumper, replace the mount and reassemble just because the bumper has dropped by 1 cm on the nearside. The bumper doesn't seem to want to return to its correct position. When I try to lift it then it doesn't budge. It's a job I'd like to do myself if possible, but can anyone please give me advice regarding bumper removal and reassembly. BTW if it involves plastic mounts I do have a 3D printer.
