TPMS via Instrument Panel Menu
The Owner's Manual for my 2013 XJL has a section that describes the operation of the TPMS (page 93) called VEHICLE LOADING. This section states: It is possible to select different tire pressure monitoring levels that correspond to the pressures on the tire pressure label for a lightly laden or heavily laden vehicle.
The different tire pressure monitoring levels can be set via the VEHICLE SET-UP MENU (see 63, Instrument Panel Menu)
On my car, there are no sub-menus under the Vehicle Setup Menu that have anything to do with setting these pressures, others yes, but not tire pressures.
Does anybody have this in their car? I want to set the psi of my tires to 34 as that is the recommended setting for my size tires and type (Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 (20") to the lightly laden setting (if I could find it) since I'm typically alone in the car and the trunk is empty. I suspect that increasing the pressure this way informs the TPMS system to use this higher setting as a baseline and not throw flashing system fault lights to the Instrument Panel. I've manually set the tires to 34 and that's what happens. The fault lights then sometimes go off only to return again at some point in the future.
Any thoughts re this are appreciated.

OK, this might stupid,
I had my tires replaced on my wife's F-Pace a few years ago and they set the pressures at 46PSI. I told them that that was far too high for a light load and got them to reduce it to 36psi. The dash then was happy ,and then read "TPMS set for Low Load.
What I am saying is; that if all sensor's are within 20% of the limit of high, or low load, pressures, all is good.
