Default Steering column cover removal

Good day to my fellow Jaguar Brethren. Well after surmounting frozen gear lever ,now back to an issue I hoped had disappeared forever, Shortly after I purchased my gorgeous 97 XK8 6 mos ago the motor failed to power off. Only happened once. . It has recently returned albeit intermittent. Pretty certain its the ignition switch. Removed two lower screws from column cover. Feeling out extraction of upper/lower cover to get to switch. I believe there are internal clips and it feels fairly tight. Obviously don't want to force or damage the cover.Would any of you Gents out there be familiar with the process. Once open I think its fairly easy to replace the switch. Thanks as prior for any guidance on gently separating the upper and lower covers.

Best to All ---- Daveyj
