2004 XJR Windshield replacement
I searched threads and found some similar questions but I don't see replies. Also, they are all quite old. I need to replace the windshield on my '04 XJR. Car is in great condition with only 32,000 miles. Safelite and others can find a windshield but cannot find other parts which may get damaged during replacement. I need to source them myself, but don't know what is needed or where to get them. Dealer was no help. I need clips, molding, plastic housing for mirror. Safelite won't replace the glass unless parts that may break are available. I appreciate any advise. Thank you.
I had a local Novus shop replace mine with a OEM Sekurit glass. They had to order the clips, and they weren’t cheap. Somewhere around $60 US each.
If you can’t find them locally I can put you in touch with them.
BTW the OEM glass installed was right around $2k

@SkookumCat I can get the glass, just not the clips or molding. Please provide whatever contact information you have for Novus shop. I am not familiar with that company. Thank you very much.
I’m up in the PNW, and part of Avants drivers club. The person at Novus that helped me was Cy. He should remember the car. Radiance red XJR.
I went through this same process two years ago with my 2004 VDP. Safelite wouldn't touch the windshield until I had the complete clip set, so I tracked down a full set through SNG Barratt, which I'm pretty sure had to be shipped from the UK, and took a couple of months to arrive. When they finally did the replacement, they only ended up using 4 of the clips, so I still have the remainder. If interested, send me a PM. I just need to sort through them to figure out exactly which ones were used and what's left. For reference, Safelite charged me $1k for the job.
Cy was helpful though he said he thinks he got the last set of clips in the country. He also said that it may be possible to use glue instead of the clips and gave me a contact for Novus in my hometown. Unfortunately the local place said they did not have someone expert enough to do the job. I appreciate your help.

Good luck!
