Default 2004 XJR Windshield Part Number

Does anyone have a reference catalog for the correct Jaguar Part number for the windshield for this year and model. It's tinted, fully heated and car has rain sensor wipers - my best info says it should be part # C2C25730 - last four digits of my VIN are G05711 -

can anyone confirm - I need to order in - dealer says they can get it but they want a large fortune for it ( that compared to a small fortune for most of the other parts )

Help is appreciated...

Is the part number correct - the dealer is asking over $1300 for the windshield - I have found one for less than $900.. C2C25730 says it's heated for the XJ8 / XJR - just don't want to ship across the country and find out it's not the correct item #

No help here I'm afraid but God bless auto insurance - zero deductible glass coverage - here in the States.

Price is about right for genuine from dealer. When I had mine replaced, glass shop said dealer only, as it was heated/insulated. Insurance paid for it. Glass shop ordered from dealer so I didn't have to worry about correct part number. It was their problem if wrong or broken upon arrival. Also orig equip glass is sound insulated. If you find after market glass, it wont have the same properties. I have never been impressed with after market glass. You have to question when a glass shop can replace a standard windscreen for a stupid cheap price.
I have a thread about prepping the car for the glass shop on this site somewhere. (removing wipers, cowl, a-pillar covers). Just did't want to hear about or see broken fasteners. I also had the chance to clean everything up, before installation closing everything up. My glass shop loved me.

The part number matches the one in our local Jaguar dealer's website, www.jaguar.lakeridgeparts.com. Price is given as $872 Canadian.

that is good information - just goes to show the local dealer in Calgary is gouging - I found a wholesaler in Montreal that is selling the OEM windshield ( not a generic one ) for the $ 890. CND price - so wondering why my local Jag dealer wants $ 1376.. other than to add a nice 50% markup on parts... I will see if they will offer a discount...

You will also need to order a trim/instsall kit for install of new windscreen.

is it an actual kit or do you have order all the parts separately - looks like a bunch of plastic spacer and clips when I look them up...

Stupid question.

How do I tell if I have a heated windshield or not?

I need to replace mine as the one on the car currently is toast!

Is the OEM windshield even available in the states? So far I cannot find...

Thanks

If you look at the glass at different angles you will see a fine mesh in the glass if it is

heated. My windshield is heated but I have no switch and have never seen a light

come on to say it's on. I don't need it in OZ anyway.
